Virginia Ackiss Bolton, 73, of Waterlily in Coinjock, died Tuesday morning in Sentara Nursing Home at Barco.
She was a native of Currituck County and a member of the Coinjock Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ivy W. and Lula Oden Ackiss and the wife of Cornelius L. Bolton of the home.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Bolton is survived by four daughters, Diane Bunch of Chesapeake, Shirley Mosley of Winterville, N.C., Phyllis Ashley Wasserman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Carole Sharber of Buxton; five grandchildren, Michelle Wasserman, Michael Wasserman and Bill Wasserman, all of Fort Lauderdale, and Chris Austin and Bryan Austin, both of Winterville, N.C.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hampton Cemetery in Coinjock with the Rev. Charles Wellons officiating. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is handling arrangements. The family will be at the residence.
