Born August 11, 1930 in Sioux City Iowa to Ronald B. Abbott and Cora Belle Abbott. Died September 8, 2011 in Barstow California. He is survived by his Wife Frances Jean Abbott of Newberry Springs, CA, and Sons Guy Craig Abbott(Chris) of Pomona, CA, and Scott Abbott of Vermillion, SD. Step-DaughtersTerry Yanek of Barstow, CA, Deb Larson of Vermillion, SD and Linda Underwood of Newberry Springs, CA. Grandchildren: Andrew and Shane Abbott of Pomona, CA, Tara Abbott of Escondido, CA and Madison and Kaitlyn Abbott of Vermillion, SD as well as four Great- Grandchildren. He is also survived by his Brothers: Jim Abbott of Mondamin, IA and Ronald Abbott of Kansas City, MO and Sisters: Barbara Lawrence of Flowermound,TX and Charlotte Wirsching of Corvalis, MI. He also leaves multiple Neices and Nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Wayne Abbott and Daughter Gale Cheri Abbott. He leaves behind many friends from all corners of the United States.

Viewing will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at Mead Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. Arrangements provided by Mead Mortuary.
