Lillian M. Abbott, 85, of South Pine St., died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Hyder Family Hospice House.

Born in Dover June 26, 1926, the daughter of Joseph J. and Lillian (Mountford) Lefebvre and she has lived here all of her lifetime.

She was a former longtime employee of General Electric in Somersworth and was a member of the GE Bowling League.

Lillian was a member of St. Joseph Church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arthur G. Abbott; four children, Linda Jennison and husband, Steve, of Barrington, Carol George and husband, Steve, of Dover, twin sons Dennis Abbott and wife, Cheryl, of Orange Park, Fla., and David Abbott of Dover; nine grandchildren, Shawn Jennison, Shelley Madera, Steve Jennison, Ryan George, Zachary George, Bradley Abbott, Becky Abbott, Casey Abbott and Sam Abbott. She was predeceased by a grandchild, Sonya Jennison.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph Church, 150 Central Ave. Burial will follow in St. Mary New Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the many caregivers during Lillian's illness.
