DEATH SUMMONS W. L. ADAMS
Following a brief illness of little more than twenty-four hours W. L. Adams died at his home in Oakdale last Friday evening about 9:30. He had not been in the best of health for some time and on Thursday went down to Tilden for a physical examination. That evening he became very ill and death resulted the next evening from a complication of stomach and heart trouble.

William Levi Adams was born Oct. 10, 1867 in Alexander County, Ill. and departed this life June 10, 1927 age 59 years, 8 months.

When a small boy he moved with his parents to Texas county, Missouri, there he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Sarah Jane Kelly August 10,1893. To this union eight children were born, one child dying in infancy.

Since 1900, Mr. Adams has resided in or near Oakdale. Here he made many friends who honored and respected him for his upright ways. He was a good neighbor, staunch friend
and faithful father.
When a young man he united with the Free Baptist church and was a member to his death. He belonged to the Woodmen order and was a faithful member of the I.O.O.F. He will be greatly missed by his lodge brothers.

Those who mourn his departure are: his wife, seven children, father, three sisters and three brothers, besides many other relatives.
The children are: Mrs. Wm. Hughes, Enos Lawrence and Victor of Oakdale, Vern of Waterbury, Nebr., John of Sioux City, Ia.,
and Clifford of Ft. Crook, Nebr. The sisters are: Laura Brummet and Mrs. Cynthia Halden of Mountain Grove, Mo., Mrs. Frenia Ragin of Upton, Mo., father, C. C. Adams of Oakdale, brothers, O. B. Adams of So. Sioux City, Nebr., Calvin Adams of Graff, Mo., and J. F. Adams of Merino, Colo., one half-brother, Oscar and one half sister, Mrs. Orr of Neligh, Nebr.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kauffroath at the U. B. church at 2:30 Monday afternoon and interment was made in the Oakdale cemetery. The Oddfellows took charge of the services at the cemetery.
The six sons acted as pallbearers.
Out of town relatives who were here for the funeral are: Mrs. Mary Knott, Elgin; Mrs. Ashcraft, Neligh; Mrs. Cynthia Holden and Mrs. Frenia Ragin of Mountain Grove, Mo.; O. B. Adams, South Sioux City; Clifford Adams, Ft. Crook; Mrs. A. J. Kelly, South Sioux City; Mr. Hobart Kelly, South Sioux City; Mrs. Roy Ofe, Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nyrop. Elgin; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Stansberry, Norfolk; Mrs. Edgar Hayes, Cody.
