Letta Iola Anderson, 74, died Friday, June 22, at her home in American Falls following an extended illness.

She was born March 13, 1916 in Olympia, Wash., to Alfred and Stella Osborn Barton. The family soon moved to Hegler, where she was reared and educated. Following her education, she worked for various families in the area.

On Aug. 2, 1933, she married Daniel Abbott of Shirley Creek, near Sublette. The couple lived in Hegler; they later divorced. She moved to Wyoming and married Irven Thomas on June 21, 1943. They also divorced, and Mrs. Anderson returned to Idaho, settling in American Falls.

In December 1955, she married Walter Fetch; they divorced. She married Neal Anderson on May 14, 1971. He died March 7, 1976.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, fishing, hunting and traveling.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Abbott, Boise, Robert Abbott, Jena, La., and Leland Thomas, Shelton, Wash.; two daughters, Virginia Wood, Lysite, Wyo., and Frances Schmett, American Falls; four brothers, Leland Barton, Orville, Calif., LaVern Barton, Sacramento, Calif., Horace Harvey, Pocatello, Id. and Daniel Harvey, Bisbee, Mont.; three sisters, Ilene Walker, Eureka, Calif., Donna Harvey, Pendleton, Ore., and Marion Gosh, Sheridan, Wyo., 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
