Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Abbitt departed this life on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1961, to Adlean M. Harvey and the late John Harvey Sr. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one child, a sister-in-law, Margeret Johnson, a brother-in-law, Lester Mosley and her father-in-law, Roosevelt Mosley.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Charles Abbitt; a daughter, Kimberly Abbitt (Warren), of Lynchburg; two sons, Bryan Abbitt and Charles Abbitt, of Lynchburg; one sister, Carolyn Harvey, of Madison Heights; three brothers, John Harvey Jr. (Latoya), Donnie Harvey and Frederick Harvey; one Godson, Brandon Spears; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Mt. Obed Baptist Church with Rev. Major Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is receiving friends and the cortege will assemble at 841 Pumping Station Rd.
