A native and lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he was a son of the late Winnie Pearl Ware and Jesse James Aaron, and was preceded in death by his wife, Marjonel Palmer Aaron and two sons, Dewey Aaron and Gerald Aaron. Mr. Aaron was a farmer most of his life and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Graveside services will be Friday, March 9, 2007, at 2PM at Arnoldsville Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Epps officiating.

Survivors include a son, Lamar (Pam) Aaron of Arnoldsville; three brothers, Hubert Aaron of Athens, Milton Aaron of Lexington, Glen Aaron of Wrens; three sisters, Ruth Norman of Greensboro, Frances Gruenert of Hayesville, NC, Faye Barret of Atlanta, GA, Margaret Savage of Macon, GA; seven grandchildren, Robin (Bill) Patton, Audrey (Shane) Guest, Cindy Carney, Katie Aaron, Patti (Jason) Turner, Roxzanne Richards, and Jesse Aaron; seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thurs from 7-9PM at funeral home, and may be reached at the residence of Lamar and Pam Aaron, Arnoldsville. Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
