CASTLEWOOD, Va. Mildred Pauline Addington, 74, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Maple Grove Health Care Center, Lebanon, Va. She was born in Russell County, Va.; daughter of the late Charles and Florence Phillips Addington. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Helbert, Trula B. Dean, and Lenora Evans. She is survived by one son, Mitchell Chandler, of Trammel, Va.; one brother, Emmett M. Addington and wife, Agnes, of Castlewood; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment for Mildred Pauline Addington will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, with the Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - Emmett McNeil Addington, Sr., 88, died Monday, February 23, 2015 at NHC Healthcare, Bristol, Virginia.

He was born in Russell County, Virginia; son of the late Charles and Florence Fields Addington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Addington; and four sisters, Leona Evans, Beatrice Combs Dean, Pauline Chandler Addington, and Margaret Helbert. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II. He retired from CSX Railroad after 42 years. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a trustee since 1971 and a deacon since 1961.

He is survived by four sons, Emmett M. Addington, Jr. and wife, Jeanette of Rosedale, Virginia, Ronald Joe Addington and wife, Karen of Castlewood, Virginia, Terry Leon Addington and wife, Barbara of Castlewood, Virginia, and Mark Allen Addington and wife, Jena of Castlewood, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Dave Addington, Janet Rasnake, Jennifer Altizer, Ashley Worley, Zachary Addington, Kelsey Addington, Dalton Addington, Ethan Addington, and Evan Addington; twelve great grandchildren, Billy Addington, Brooke Addington, Kaylee Frank, Payton Frank, Kyle Rasnake, Jaylea Eversole, Austin Rasnake, Damian Altizer, Dylan Clark, Frank Worley, Eliza Worley, and Eli Addington; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Emmett McNeil Addington, Sr. will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Leonard Ferguson and Bro. Rick Gibson officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be Jess Hackney, Jay Powers, Rick Gibson, Freddie Wallace, Kenny Hamilton, and James Chaffin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
