Carl was born in Paluski County, Kentucky, to the late Thomas and Mary Caylor Clark. He was a farmer in Kentucky. He entered the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, where he met Nollie Mae Thompson. They married and resided in Gatesville for twelve years, until moving to Houston. He operated a ranching business in Huntsville and continued to be a rancher after his retirement. He retired from Hormel Foods after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, in May of 1994; a son, Dannie Carl Clark in 2005; daughter-in-law, Diana Clark in 2003; sisters, Lucille Wooldridge, Caroline Abbott, Eva Smithon; and brothers, John Worth Clark and Charles Edward Clark at birth.
He is survived by a grandson, Dennis Clark and wife, Penny, of Pasadena; great-granddaughter, Ashlie Clark, of Pasadena; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
