Lucile DeYoung, age 98, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 26, 1912 in Baldwin, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Berendena (nee Rademaker) and Jacob Achterhof. She also was preceded in death by her husband John Paul DeYoung, sister Helen Voskuil, brothers Marvin and Calvin Achterhof. She is survived by a daughter Edith A. Smith and husband James of Hillsboro, granddaughter Angela Ashabranner of Pevely, Missouri, grandson Brian Smith of Cedar Hill, Missouri, great-grandchildren Ryan Smith of Richfield, Idaho, Brittany Smith of Cedar Hill, Zachary Proffitt of Pevely, Jordan Ashabranner of Pevely and Alexcia Ashabranner of Pevely, great-great grandchildren Christian Proffitt of Pevely and Hunter Smith of Richfield, Idaho. Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, Missouri, 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2011. Visitation at her church, Second Baptist Church, Festus, beginning at 10:00 A.M. with services at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 officiated by Rev. Gary Satterfield, Pastor.
