The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Sam Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Aaron, a native of Bulloch County, owned and operated Phil's Place until he retired in 1990. He was a 1937 graduate of Portal High School and a member of the Georgia Bulldog Club. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Bonnett Aaron; a daughter, Camie Aaron, Portal; his stepfather, Moultree Graham, Yulee, Fla.; and a stepmother, Mentoria Aaron, Savannah.
The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. today at Joiner-Shepard Funeral Home, Statesboro.
