BUSHMAN - George Peter Bushman of Watrous, Sask. passed away Mar. 16, 2001. He was born Mar. 24, 1911 to Peter and Eliesabeth Boschman in Fischau, Ukraine. In 1926 his mother and 5 children immigrated to Canada, settling in Guernsey, Sask. He worked for various farmers in the community. He accepted Christ during evangelistic services held with Mr. Nightingale in Philadelphia MB Church, Watrous. He put his trust and faith in Isaiah 1:18. In the years 1937-41, he worked for his brother-in-law Dave Braun, who had been diagnosed with TB. In 1941 he married Tina Neufeld. They bought a farm near Guernsey. In 1977 they moved to Watrous, but continued to farm. He prayed faithfully every day for his children and grandchildren and for their salvation. He never faltered in his faith in God, stating, "When I am very weary, I do not pray; I only shut my eyes and wait, to hear what God will say." Predeceased by a sister and 2 brothers, he is mourned by Tina; children Mary Marciniuk, Vi Rebalkin, Ruben, and Linda McIntosh; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister. The funeral was Mar. 19 in Philadelphia MB Church, with Darren Holland and LaVerne Jantz ministering.
