Nancy Ann Verhoff, 94, of Jefferson City, formerly of Westphalia, died Wednesday Oct 21, 2009 at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City. She was born in Rosebud on Jun 17, 1915, the daughter of Dr. Henry G. and Rose B. Barnhart Isenberg. She was married on Dec 25, 1943 in St. Louis to Charles Leander Verhoffwho preceded her in death. She was a 1933 graduate of Belle High School and received her teaching certificate from Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg. She later took additional courses at Lincoln University. She was a teacher, bookkeeper, and social workerfor many years in Osage County.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith K. Nichols and her husband Jack of Ashland and Jane A. Copeland and her husband Lawrence of Freeburg; three sons, James R. Verhoff and his wife Faye of Jefferson City, C. David Verhoff and his wife Patty of Kansas City, and Charles H. Verhoff and his wife Kay of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Bathe and Minnie Holterman and three brothers, Walter Abbott, Sam Isenberg and Earl Eisenberg. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Oct 24, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Mark S. Smith officiating. VERHOFF Nancy Ann Verhoff, 94, of Jefferson City, formerly of Westphalia, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City. She was born June 17, 1915, in Rosebud, the daughter of the late Dr. Henry G. and Rose B. Barnhart Isenberg. She was married December 25, 1943, in St. Louis, to Charles Leander Verhoff, who died on August 3, 2008. Mrs. Verhoff was a 1933 graduate of Belle High School and received her Teaching Certificate from Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg. She later took additional studies at Lincoln University. She was a teacher, bookkeeper, and social worker for many years in Osage County, and enjoyed reading and embroidery. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; American Legion Auxiliary where she served as Treasurer for nine years; and Town and Country Club in Westphalia. Survivors include two daughters, Judith K. (Jack) Nichols, Ashland, and Jane A. (Lawrence) Copeland, Freeburg; three sons, James R. (Faye) Verhoff, Jefferson City, C. David (Patty) Verhoff, Kansas City, and Charles H. (Kay) Verhoff, Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Bathe and Minnie Holterman; and three brothers, Walter Abbott, Sam Isenberg, and Earl Isenberg. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Mark S. Smith officiating.
