Ben Abuja, 88, of rural Chase, died Monday morning, Feb. 10, in a Traverse City hospital.
He was born in Austria on Aug. 24, 1880. He was married in Chicago on Feb. 26, 1906, to Agnes Nodrag, who died in June, 1958. The family has resided in Pinora Township, Lake County, for 52 years.
Surviving are three sons, John of Kent city, Peter of Hersey and William of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday from the McDowell Funeral Home by the Rev. William Heydens, pastor of the Baldwin Baptist Church, with burial in Chase Township Cemetery.
