Mr. Osborn died Sunday evening August 3, 1986 in Twin Pines Adult Care Center, Kirksville.
The son of James Willis and Mary Etta Robinson Osborn, he was born January 22, 1902 at Yarrow. On May 22, 1921 in Macon County, he married Clella Corrine Coffman who preceded him in death on September 13, 1980. Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Beverly Dear Osborn on August 10, 1942; two brothers, William Osborn and Lowren Osborn and one half-brother, Enoch Sutherland.
Surviving are four sons, Lloyd O. "Buck" Osborn of Alexander, Louisiana, Sidney Osborn, Lonnie Osborn and Ronnie Osborn, all of Brashear; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Delores) Aaron of Brashear and Mrs. Jack A. (Marlene Ila) Lay of Dayton, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mr. Osborn was reared in the Yarrow-Elmer community. From 1939 throgh 1944 he was employed in the steel mills in Gary, Indiana. Later he moved to the Kirksville area and was employed with the CB and Q Railroad and Santa Fe Railroad. He was also employed with the Adair Lumber Company for several years before moving to a farm north of Brashear in 1950. In 1956 Mr. Osborn moved to Brashear where he was manager of a feed store for a number of years.
Bearers will be his grandsons: Alan Osborn, Matt Osborn, Dennis Aaron, Jeff Osborn, Mike Osborn and Steve McKim.
