Dr. Ledbetter, Retired Surgeon, Dies at 84
Dr. John Nelson Ledbetter, 84, died Thursday at a Clearwater hospital. He lived at 1021 Bay Esplanade 15 years before moving to the Fort Harrison Hotel.
A retired physician and surgeon from Michigan City, Ind., Dr. Ledbetter was a member of the American Medical Association and of the Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl R. of Clearwater; a son, John Nelson Jr. of Scarsdale, N. Y.; a daughter, Miss Lois Thelma Ledbetter of Clearwater; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Ledbetter of Scarsdale; a sister, Mrs. Mattie L. Abbott of Robinson, Ill.; two grandsons, and two great-grandsons.
Moss Funeral Home of Clearwater is in charge of arrangements.
