Graveside services for Thomas "Bud" Austin, 77, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. today in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Elvin Waters officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died Sunday, March 26, 2000, in Lakeside Rehab Center.
He was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Stewart County, Tenn. He moved to Lubbock in 1954. He married Zora Alger Page on Nov. 13, 1942, in Hopkinsville, Ken. He attended schools in Stewart County. He retired from Owens-Corning as a night watchman in 1981.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe and Eddie, both of Lubbock; three daughters, Betty Roberts and Carol McFarling, both of Lubbock, and Rosie Francka of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Mattie Bell Abbott of Stewart County and Josphine Powers of Clarksville, Tenn; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
