Perl Sophie Barttlingck Davis was born to Alexander W R Barttlingck and Mary Pollie Jones on October 4, 1886 in Houston, TX.

She married Samuel Edward Davis in Houston about 1906. They had two daughters and raised her two nieces, Maude and Norma Dickson after their mother Maude Agnes Barttlingck Dickson died in 1911.

She died of pneumonia in Garden Oaks Nursing Home on September 20, 1962. Survived by her husband of over 50 years, her two daughters and the two nieces that she raised.
