Sharon was born to Albert J Anderson Jr and Melba O West in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. She was 1st married to David Wesley Miller Jr Oct 1969 in Grand Bay, Mobile, Alabama and they had a daughter, Dena Marie.
She was married 2nd to James Ernest Harman in 1976 in Mobile, Alabama and they had a son, James Matthew.

It's time to write Sharon's bio. This has taken me a long time to write because her death was and still is so hard to take.
When she was in her late 30's she started having pain in her neck and down her spine. She was diagnosed with tumors in the muscles of her neck and two were removed. But the pain just wouldn't subside. She also had the worst migraine headaches I've ever seen anyone have. All she wanted was to live a life without pain.
A few years after the tumors were taken out she was diagnosed with bone spurs in between the vertebra of her neck and lower spine causing her enormous amounts of pain and loss of movement in her arms. She also had degenerative disc disease and some of her discs were completely gone. This also caused her a lot of pain. She could no longer work and after about 4 years was awarded her Social Security. During this time she was told about a doctor who was supposed to be fabulous and could treat her relieving her pain. The doctor had been in our town for a long time so no one thought anything of her going to him. Not until the day we saw just how much medicine she was taking. All we knew was that she was finally pain free as much as could be expected and she was feeling better than she had in a long time. But it was too late for Sharon; she was hooked on the medicine that this doctor told her wouldn't hurt her. She was taking so much medicine that one night she went to sleep and never woke up.
Her respiration got so low that she just stopped breathing. No one knew until the next morning that she had died in her sleep. I had talked to her the night before and told her to please be careful taking that medicine. We were trying to get her to see another doctor but she would have none of it. He said it was OK and he was a doctor and to her that was good enough.
After the coroner ruled her death "suspicious" and put it down to all of the medicine in her system and we finally knew just how much was in her it was time for this so called doctor to be brought to justice. We found out that in this time period that Sharon wasn't the only one to die under suspicious circumstances while under his care.
Her daughter, son, my husband and her sister filed a lawsuit against the doctor. We didn't want money, we just wanted justice and we didn't want anyone else to die at his hands. At one point his lawyers asked my niece how much money she wanted to call off the suit; she told them, "nothing, I don't want money, I want him to pay for what he's done. He took away from us something money can't buy and we'll never get her back". It took about 2 years but we finally got what we were after. He will never again practice medicine in the US and he's doing prison time until he's in his 70's.
I hope that by writing this that other's will know that doctors can and do over prescribe medicine. This doctor was getting rich off of the amount of patients he had because he would write prescriptions at the drop of a hat and most of them were like my sister-in-law, they trusted and didn't know they were in trouble. They were in pain and this doctor was heaven sent. Prescribed medicine can and does kill. If a doctor tells you that you can take more than the usual dose, "it won't hurt you" or "those are just guide lines" get a second opinion.
