James E. Abbott, July 19, 1935 - Nov. 10, 1993, James E. ABBOTT, 58, Route 5, Rochester, died Wednesday at his home. He had been in failing health for the past 18 months. He was born in Fulton to William J. and Ruth E. INSLEY ABBOTT. He was a lifetime resident of the Fulton and Rochester communities. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum Corp., Bourbon and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a lifetime member of Manitou VFW Post 3582, the American Legion, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, 852. Surviving are his mother, Ruth E. HALL, Plymouth; five sisters, Mrs. Tom (Norma) FAULKNER, Warsaw; Mrs. Eldon (Betty) LEEDY, Snowlake; Margie MUCKENFUSS, Logansport; Orpha OVERMYER, Warsaw; Opal CUTLER, Coldwater, Mich., and four brothers, Bill ABBOTT, Rochester; Don ABBOTT, Plymouth; Alvin ABBOTT, Warsaw; Lawrence CRAIN, Willifor, Ark.; and Bob CRAIN, Haworth, Okla. Preceding in death were a sister, Wilma [ABBOTT] and three brothers, Wilbur, Eldon and Oscar [ABBOTT]. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Dave McGEE officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Rochester American Legion and Manitou VFW will conduct graveside services.
