Born in Germany, at age 4, he moved with his family to Egypt where he grew up and attended schools. He graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt with bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. Married Christa Schlage Sept 5, 1956 at Nuernberg, Germany. He lived in Egypt for many yrs. before moving to Salina, KS Jan 1968 to become a instructer at Kansas Tech Institute. In 1974, he moved to Manhatten and worked as Mechanical Engineer for Civil Service at Fort Riley. He retired in 1988. He was a member of NARF.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters Mirian Clark, Manhatten, and Hania Hower, Blue Springs,MO; two sons, Peter Shaheed, Lawrence and George Shaheed Manhatten; a half brother Ried Abdel Shaheed, Vancouver, BC Canada. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetary.
