Clarence was united in marriage to Sharon Person McNeal on June 28, 1964. They made their home near Kenmare, where Clarence farmed, ranched and was a pioneer in the PMU Industry for 32 years. He loved to talk with anyone and everyone he met. His passion was farming and watching his children and grandchildren's sporting events.
Clarence was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare.
Clarence is survived by: Wife of 47 years, Sharon; three sons, Kevin (Julie) Nelson, Kent (Kate) Nelson and Kory (Jennifer) Nelson; two daughters, Vicki Lemere and Wendy (Howard) Fisher; eight grandchildren, Branden (Sarah) Nelson, Kaitlyn (Layne) Fluhrer and Chelsie Nelson, Evan and Erika Lemere, Braylon, Kyler and Ashtyn Fisher; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Nelson; three brothers, Carmie (Helen) Nelson, Curtis (Bonnie) Nelson and Carlton (Cassie) Nelson; one sister, Collette (Ted) Maxwell; sisters-in-law, Vernice Nelson and Lona Mae Nelson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clifford and Calvin.
Funeral service: Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m., in Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare.
Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare.
Visitation: Today, Friday, 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service Friday, at 7 p.m., all in First Baptist Church, Kenmare.
