OBITUARY: WALTER A. ABBETT. Walter A. Abbett, 75, Wathena, Kan., died Thursday at a St. Joseph hospital. Born at Troy, Kan., he spent most of his life in Wathena.
A former employee of the Katz Drug Co., St. Joseph, he retired in 1971.
He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Wathena, the Phoenix I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 41, Wathena, and the Teamsters Union (retired).
Surviving are his wife, Luetta Abbett, of the home, a son, Al Abbett, Platte City, Mo., and a brother, William Abbett, Wathena.
The body is at the Harman funeral home, Wathena, where services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. Burial will be in the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery, Wathena.(Src: The St. Joseph News-Press, St. Joseph, Mo., March 28, 1986.)
