LITTLE BABE LAID TO REST
A three-day-old babe, Homer Maurel, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ackerly, of Chicago, was laid to rest in the Ackerly family burial lot in Rose Hill Sunday.

The child was born January 27 and passed away on January 30, at the Chicago home. The little form accompanied by the father, Homer Ackerly, and a sister of the mother and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Beals, also of Chicago, were taken to Des Moines by train and here they were joined by the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ackerly, the party coming the rest of the way by auto.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Otis White kindly opened their home to the bereaved ones for a short funeral service which was held Sunday afternoon. Apostle D. T. Williams preached the sermon, and a trio of young ladies, Mavis Wells, Helen and Emily Anthony, sang very appropriate songs.

Homer Ackerly is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ackerly. The other grandparents remained with the daughter in Chicago.
