BOYLE HORSEMAN CLYDE B. ABBOTT DIES
Clyde Bailey Abbott, 79, of Lancaster Road, a Boyle County horseman, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Abbott was charter member and a board Abbott member of the Kentucky Walking Horse Association, and Kentucky Walking Horse Trainers Association. He was an accredited walking horse judge and was an owner and trainer of walking horses for 30 years. Born Dec. 14, 1920, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Floyd and Minnie Gwinn Abbott. He also was a retired railroad engineer and was a member of -Junction City Baptist Church. He was the widower of Charlotte Reed Abbott. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Carol Milburn of Henderson; a companion, Betty Sims of Danville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday.
