She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Perry; daughter, Gwendolyn Sue Perry; and parents, Howard and Annie Haley Newton.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Chalupa and husband, Robert Jr. of Damon, and Angela Ratjen and husband, Charles Jr. of Richmond; sisters, Linda May of Louisburg, NC and Daisy Abbott of Franklinton, NC; brothers, Howard C.
