Miss Sarah Abbitt Died at
Versailles Saturday Fol-
lowing An Operation.

Miss Sarah Abbitt, only daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Geo. C. Abbitt, died at Versailles, Ky., Saturday morning, following an operation. Her parents had been with her for several days. Miss Abbitt had for the last two years been a teacher in Margaret College. She became ill two weeks ago and an operation was performed on October 28th. She lingered for a week and gradually sank, in spite all that the best of care could avail.

She was a bright and charming girl, a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, the idol of her devotee parents and dearly beloved by many friends. She is survived two brothers, Henry Abbitt, who has the chair of Latin in Bingham Military Academy, at Asheville, N,C.. and
Macon Abbitt, of this city.

The body arrived here Sunday morning and the funeral services were held yesterday aftcrnoon at 3 o'clock at the Episcopal church, at which her father is Rector. The interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
