Loretta J. Wolff, 88 of Harlingen, Texas formerly of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at a Harlingen Nursing Home.
Loretta was born September 4, 1923, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the daughter of August Michael and Margaret Mary (O'Leary) Aaron.
Loretta attended Leavenworth Catholic Schools and graduated from Immaculata Catholic High School in 1941.
She spent 35 years in the banking industry as a bookkeeper, teller, and proof operator of which 6 years was spent in Kansas City, Missouri, she retired in 1989.
She married Paul Joseph Wolff on October 17, 1974, in Leavenworth, Kansas. They moved to Harlingen in 1980.
Loretta was on the ritual team for the Eagles Aux for 9 years and a total of 30 years in the club. Their motto is "People Helping People", and Loretta enjoyed assisting others, being helpful, and spent a great deal of time volunteering with helping the elderly in their retirement park. Loretta enjoyed traveling, dancing, bowling and mushroom hunting.
She is survived by her husband, three stepchildren; Paula J Wolff of Belton, Mo., Kerry L. Wolff of Kansas City, Mo., and Michael D. Wolff and his wife Eileen of Colorado Springs, Colo., four step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. One Sister Charlotte L. Hawes of Leavenworth, Kan., one sister in law, Florence Aaron of Leavenworth, Kan., and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; Juanita Regina Griffin, and Mary Margaret Daniels, and one brother; Robert T. Aaron.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David McEvoy O.Carm officiating. Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, April 11th, 2012 from 2: p.m. until 8 p.m., and a Rosary at 6 p.m. all at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 p.m. Until 8 p.m. Burial will be at 11 a.m., April 12, 2012 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
