Roy Wilbert Abrahamson

GARFIELD - Roy Wilbert Abrahamson, 95, died Nov. 25, 1997, at Central Kansas Medical Center, St. Rose Campus, Great Bend.

He was born June 25, 1902, at Garfield, the son of Oscar and Emma Palm Abrahamson. A lifetime Garfield resident, he was a retired farmer.

He belonged to Garfield Lutheran Church and was a past member of Garfield Lions Club, both at Garfield, and Farmers Union.

On May 15, 1940, he married Velma Louise Barger at Garfield. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Stanley, Leo's Summit, Mo.; two daughters, Thyla Aldrich, Lamed, and Tamara Gold, Dallas; six grandchildren: and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Richard, and two sisters, Rosa Calvert and Florence Beezley.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Jim Lohmeyer presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Thursday and from 9
a.m. to service time Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield.

Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of the mortuary.
