Herbert Linwood Jones, age 76, of Huber Heights, passed away April 29, 2012. He was born March 2, 1936 in Winfall, NC to the late Moses and Winnie Jones.
He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by
his wife of 53 years, Curtis Mae Jones;
children, Monique Austin, Valerie Jenkins, Derek L. (Salina) Jones and Daryl L. (Joanne) Jones;
11 grandchildren;
4 great grandchildren;
3 sisters, 1 brother;
many nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served 28 years. He was a Korean War veteran, and retired after 20 years from Logistics at Wright Patterson AFB. He was a member of the United House of God Church and was an avid baseball card collector.
