William Abbett, 63, of Fort Wayne, a barber for 40 years, died Monday, April 22, 2002, at Life Care Center. He was a Johnson County native.
Surviving are sons William A. and Adam A., both of Fort Wayne, and Dennis Halderman of Miami; daughters Angelia Freemon of Oregon, Delana M. Ring of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Amanda M. Abbett of Fort Wayne; his mother, Dorothy L. of Columbia City; brothers Otha of Miami, Phil of Pierceton and Nick of Huntington; a sister, Reba Christian of Fort Wayne; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robin W., and a brother.
Private family services were held.
