Viola "Lindy" Compton was the seventh child born to Leo Lindner and Ida Pfeiffer in Comfort, Kendall Co.,TX on June 6 1911. She graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Houston, Harris Co., TX in 1934 with a RN Degree. She married Judge John L. Compton at Christ Church Cathedral on October 12, 1937 in Houston. They had a son and a daughter. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, the Order of the Daughters of the King, the Jurist Club, and the Trinity Church Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband, survived by her daughter, son, two grandsons and a great granddaughter. Services were held at Trinity Episcopal Church.
