Lee Abrahamson, age 65, of Newport, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Newport Church of Christ. He was employed by Lisega for the past 9 years and prior to that he worked in Egypt. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his son, David Abrahamson of Newport; daughters, Missy (Rick) Crabtree of San Diego, Calif., and Malia Hirano of Japan; parents, Charles and Erlene Abrahamson of Mathews, Virginia; brothers, Charles Abrahamson, Jr. of Modesto, California, Chester Neal Abrahamson of Mathews, VA; sister, Nancy Abrahamson Kellum of Gloucester, VA; grandchildren, Samantha, Tabitha and Daisy Abrahamson, Grace and Jackson Crabtree; and six grandchildren in Japan; also a host of other special family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm Sunday, May 20, 2012 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm Sunday in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
