Bessie l. Stiver, 85, former resident of Muncie, died early Sunday in Washington, D.C. following an extended illness. She had lived in Washington since the death of her husband in 1960.
Mrs. Stiver was a member of High St. Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Frances L. Stiver, Washington, D.C.; a son, Edward Stiver, Waco, Texas; three grandchildren; two nieces, Mrs. Aaron Belcher and Mrs. William Quick, both of Muncie; and a nephew, Robert Leslie, also of this city.
Services will be held at Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Donald Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary prior to the services Wednesday.
