Arlene B. Aaron of LaPorte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2013. Born in LaPorte, MI to Ray and Mary (Winslow) Chamberlin. She lived in the area all of her life. Arlene married August (Gus) Aaron on December 10, 1933 in Unionville. Gus died in February 1978. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Melvin and Duane Chamberlin. Arlene was an avid reader, loyal Tigers fan and local and family historian. Spending time her family was a great joy as was her love of crocheting her wonderful pot holders. She was a member of the LaPorte United Methodist Church. Arlene is survived by her children; Thad Aaron of Oakland, CA, Sandra (Ray) Murphy of Midland. Grandchildren; Rick (Michelle) Sugar of LaPorte, Steve Sugar of Aruba and Julie Sugar of Midland. Step grandchildren; Sandi Carter, Pat (Russ) Blair, Sue (Mark) Sabourin and Michael (Diann) Murphy, great grandchildren; Kevin (Jeanette) Sugar and Scott Sugar. Step grandchildren; Kris (Tammy) Kangas, Jonathan Kangas, Jason (Dawn) Sabourin, Justin (Tanya) Sabourin and Marshall Sabourin. Also special friends; Daryl and Jane Tessin and Amy Lambert, nephews; Dudley and Donavan Chamberlin. The family of Arlene would like to extend a special "thanks" to the Green team of Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2013 at LaPorte United Methodist Church, LaPorte. Rev. Cecile Adams will officiate with burial to follow in LaPorte Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington, Freeland on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In Lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the LaPorte United Methodist Church or Mid Michigan Home Health Care (Hospice).
