   ONEIDA - Roy Thompson Purkey, 67, of Davis Lane, Oneida, formerly of Morristown, died Thursday afternoon at the Scott County Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a member of Oneida Church of Christ. He worked with the Tennessee Highway Patrol for 27 years and retired as a lieutenant in 1967.
