His survivors included his wife; a son, David; a daughter, Charlotte Barnhart; a step-son, Donald Hussey; three step-daughters, Mary Robinson, Wilma Gerrish and Wanda Dycus; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on February 16, 1983 in the Ingram Funeral Home in Allendale, Wabash County, Illinois with interment in the Harrison Cemetery, Lancaster, Wabash County, Illinois.
