Randy has lived in Monticello, White County, Indiana all of his life. He started working at the age of ten (10) for his dad, Lyle S. Abbott for his Excavating Bussiness. Randy had also worked at the old Chemtron for Fourteen (14) years before they closed. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church of Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, American Legion Post, VFW Post and Redman Lodge all of Monticello, Indiana. He was a bartender at "Down The Street" and delivered parts for NAPA, both of Monticello, Indiana. Randy loved fishing, hunting, especially deer hunting and racing of all kinds. He was a compassionate person helping and giving to other people all the time.

Special Services: Full Military Rites will be conducted at the Hughes Cemetery by the Honor Guard of the American Legion, VFW and Am Vets Post all of Monticello, Indiana, following the funeral mass.

Survivors include: Daughter Sara D.H.M.(husband Rob) Long of Monticello, Indiana and Krystal (husband Eddie) Beck-Vail of Burrows, Indiana;

Fiancee: Cindy Beck Monticello, Indiana;

Father-in-Law Harry and Mary Jolly of Logansport, Indiana;

Sisters: Loleta "dee dee" (husband Dale) Northcutt of Rensselaer, Indiana;
Teresa (husband Darrel) Hufford of Tipton, Indiana;
Angelita "Angie" (husband Michael) Neal of Monticello, Indiana;

Brother: William Lyle "Bill" Abbott of Montiello, Indiana;

Former Sister-in-Law, Betty (husband Don) West of Monticello, Indiana;

Grandchildren: Dustin, Austin, Trevor, Bryce, Morgen, Zachary, Eryn, Jerry, Colton, Taylar, David, Drandi, Adam and Stephanie;
