Ida Mae Abel, 81, a long time resident of Kitty Hawk, NC, died Saturday, April 12 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was a past matron and 51 year member of the Eastern Star Calvin E. Lloyd Chapter in Quantico. She was the widow of Virgil S. Abel, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Patrick and her husband, Eli of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Emily Patrick and her husband, Frank Snellings of Fredericksburg, and Robert Patrick , Jr. and his wife, Crystal of Fredericksburg; and two great-granddaughters, Julia and Presley.
A funeral will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, April 16 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel with Vicar Jonah P. Burakowski officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
