Eva Elisabetha Broeckel
Eva Elisabetha Broeckel nee Bechtold was born in 1845, at Freudenthal, South Russia. She married Gottlieb Broeckel in 1865. This union produced 13 children, six of whom preceded her in death, leaving seven left to mourn her passing.
She and her husband were converted and baptized by Brother Liebig and accepted into the congregation.
They came to America in 1893 and lived at Mound City, South Dakota, until moving to Eureka, South Dakota, in 1910 where they remained until her death.
Her husband died four years ago. She missed him very much and lived with her daughter, Katherine Ottmer for the last year where she boarded faithfully.
She was 83 years, five months and 11 days old. The Lord comforts the mourning.
