T. Ray Beeman, 72, died Feb. 24, 1983, at his home, after a short illness. Born July 25, 1910, at Pratt, he married Vivian McChristian Howard Nov. 18, 1947, at Kansas City, Mo. He was a football player for the St. Louis Oilers from 1935 until1936. He was a retired employee of Halliburton Oil Co. and former insurance business salesman. He had been a McCracken resident since 1973. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pratt; VFW, La Crosse; American Legion; McCracken; D.A.V. a Army veteran of World WarII. He was a graduate of Wichita State University.

Survivors: widow, of the home; stepdaughter, Connie Koerner, Hays; brother, E.L., Austin; sister, Frances Abbott, Pratt; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse; the Rev. Glenn Tombaugh. Military graveside service at La Crosse Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials to the
American Cancer Society.
