Lee Marshal Abbott, 48, of Moscow, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2001, in a boating accident.

He was born May 23, 1953, in Clarkston to Virginia Yockey and James Abbott. He was preceded in death by both parents.

Lee grew up in Troy, Idaho, and after graduation served four years in the U.S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he attended Western Baptist Bible College in Salem, Ore., where he graduated in 1980 with a degree in history and theology. He moved back to Troy in 1981 and started a cabinet business, which he owned and operated to the present.

He married Cheryl Reed in 1972 and the couple had four sons together The couple were divorced in 1989.

Lee loved camping, traveling, the outdoors and reading. He was a successful businessman and talented woodworker.

The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Short's Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Lions Hall in Troy.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Troy Ambulance Fund.
