Services for Philip M. Ackerman, 79, of Herreid will be September 16 at the Herreid Baptist Church. Reverend Edward Kopf and Reverend Arthur Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. He died Saturday at the Eureka hospital.
He was born April 15, 1897, near Herreid. he married Bertha Berndt, March 27, 1925, in rural Herreid. She died October of 1970.
Survivors are one brother, Willie of Herreid and one sister, Mrs. Katie Aman of Herreid. He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and two sisters.
