LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Karen Ann Sox, 60, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church, Olympia with interment to follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Sox was born October 30, 1951 in Little Rock, AR and passed away after a long-time illness on Monday, July 9, 2012. She was the daughter of Leland Cheslie Silkwood and Mary Sexton Silkwood. Mrs. Sox was a life-time member of Southside Baptist Church. She volunteered her time for many years at the Jamil Shrine Temple working with the burned and cripple children as long as her health allowed. Mrs. Sox is survived by her loving husband and caregiver of 45 years, Julian W. Sox, Jr. "Jake"; sons, Julian W. Sox, III (Bonnie), Jason William Sox (Rebecca); daughter, Kimberly Sox; grandchildren, Brittany Hamm, Julianne Rucker, Megan Fowler, Kayla Sox, Jake Stephan, Austin Stephan, Eric and Brandon Rutherford; sisters, Cyndi Trotter, Donna Teal; brother, David Poticher, Robert Teal and three great-grandchildren.
