Eris D. Rose
Longtime Longview resident Eris Denver Rose died May 26, 1999 in a Seattle hospital. He was 69.
Mr. Rose was born Jan 20, 1930 in Clintwood, Va., to Stewart and Vertie (Flemming) Rose. He had lived in Longview for 32 years and rtired from Weyerhaeuser Co.
He served in the Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring in 1968. Mr. Rose was a gourmet cook and a graduate of Cordon Bleu Cooking School in PARIS. He enjoyed his grandchildren and deep sea fishing and belonged to the Longview Eagles.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Helen, at home in Longview; two sons, Bradley Rose in South Carolina and Dennis Rose of Marble Falls, Texas, a daughter, Dorrene McKay of New Orleans, La., six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Eagles, 1526 12th Ave., Longview, WA 98632.
