The body is at Nilen [sic Niland] Funeral Home in New Roads and funeral services will be held from there at 8:30 this morning. Religious services will be held at the Episcopal church in Opelousas at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John L. Womack officiating. Burial will be in Opelousas.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elsie Belmont [sic Belle Mott] Abbott; two sons, George Jr., of Blanks, and Charles Allen of Guam; three daughters, Mrs. M. J. Lindsey of Tete Cove, Mrs. Daren Benoit of Jennings and Miss Luella Abbot[t] of Oscar, and six grandchildren.
