Arto Rogers Aaron, Sr. CHARLOTTE - Mr. Arto Rogers Aaron, Sr., 79, of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 12 noon at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Michael A. Frencher, Sr., officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Survivors are: daughter, Wendy Aaron-Glassman of Charlotte, NC; son, Arto R. Aaron, Jr. (Wanda) of Rhineyville, Ky.; daughters, Gelenia V. Frencher (Michael) of Greensboro, NC; and Deborah McCorkle Leach (Ralph) of Petersburg, Va.; son, William McCorkle, III, Charlotte. Arto was born in Cherryville, NC and worked for the Federal Government where he was a postal worker for the U.S. Post Office from which he retired. Grier Funeral Service, Inc. is in charge.
