James Bernard "JB" Young, 83, Florence Street, died at 8:05 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 tonight.
A native of Christian County, he was born March 16, 1920, the son of the late Herbert and Nona Young. He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Young; a daughter, Patricia Gayle Parrish, Hopkinsville; a brother, Marvin Young, the county; a sister, Aileen Scharber, Henderson and three step-grandchildren.
