BISON-Orren P. Bieber, 78, died Thursday
at Central Kansas Medical Center,
Great Bend. Born Dec. 19, 1896 at Bison,
he married Elsie Gisick, Sept. 21, 1918 at
Lawrence.
He was owner of Bison Telephone Co. for the
past 50 years and a lifetime resident.
He was a member of Bison Methodist Church,
Pioneer Independent Telephone Association
and a World War I veteran.
Survivors include widow; sons: Vernon,
Timken; Warren, Camp Verde, Ariz.;
daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Kraf, Hoisington;
Mrs. Ruberta Hopkins, Bison; sisters:
Dorothy and Grace Bieber, both of Bison; 19
grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the church;
Rev. Gene Eshleman. Burial will be in LaCrosse
Cemetery. A memorial und has been
established in care of Janousek Funeral Home, LaCrosse.
