NEW ALBANY - Ernest H. Abbott, 77, of 908 Riverview Towers, died at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd County Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Pekin, a retired employee of National Homes Corp., a member of the First Church of God and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, the former Ida R. Sweeney; three sons, William, Herbert and Armond Abbott, all of New Albany; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Dan of New Albany; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Seabrook Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
